Noi Bai International Airport is the main gateway to northern Vietnam. It sits north of Hanoi across the Red River, which shapes every transfer from here — city-bound journeys cross the river, while routes to Sapa and the northwest head away from the city entirely and never enter it.
Every rate on this page reads live from the MUINE EXPRESS transfer-rate source, so what you see is the current published price rather than a figure typed in months ago. Choose a destination below to check availability, or send us your flight number and we will confirm the vehicle and meeting point.

Terminals and meeting your driver
Terminal 1 serves domestic flights and Terminal 2 serves international arrivals. They are separate buildings connected by a shuttle bus, so knowing your flight number matters more here than at single-building airports.
Drivers monitor actual landing times rather than scheduled ones, so a delayed flight or a slow immigration queue does not mean a missed pickup. Your driver waits inside arrivals with your name.
Roads and routes
City transfers take Vo Nguyen Giap boulevard and cross Nhat Tan Bridge, a cable-stayed crossing built specifically to serve the airport. Northwest routes toward Sapa join the Noi Bai–Lao Cai Expressway, which runs for around 245 kilometres and transformed what used to be a nine-hour journey. Eastern routes toward Ha Long follow the Hanoi–Hai Phong and Hai Phong–Ha Long expressways.
Central Hanoi takes 30 to 45 minutes outside peak traffic. Ha Long Bay runs two and a half to three hours. Sapa is the longest listed route at five to five and a half hours, with the final 38 kilometres being climbing mountain road.
Choosing a vehicle
Vehicle classes on this route carry 2 to 40 passengers, and the card for each destination above shows how many classes are available on that specific route.
The most common booking mistake is choosing by passenger count alone. Luggage volume fills a vehicle faster than people do — four passengers with four large cases need more space than four passengers with hand baggage, whatever the seat count says. Tell us your bag count when you book and we will assign accordingly.
For longer transfers, stepping up one vehicle class buys legroom that matters after a long flight. On short city runs it makes little difference. The full fleet and price page lists all nine classes with passenger capacity if you want to compare directly.
Frequently asked questions
Which terminal should my driver wait at?
Terminal 2 for international arrivals and Terminal 1 for domestic. They are separate buildings, so provide your flight number.
Can I go straight to Sapa or Ha Long without staying in Hanoi?
Yes, and many visitors do. The airport sits north of the city, so both routes avoid crossing central Hanoi. Both are listed above with live rates.
Is my Old Quarter hotel reachable by vehicle?
Sometimes. Many Old Quarter streets are narrow or one-way, and some close for the weekend pedestrian zone. Give us the exact hotel address and we will confirm the nearest practical drop-off.
